About the Guide:
This guide is meant to be for starters. There are many options how to archive one goal – to construct kinds of Slovenian diplomacy. Some of you will encounter the guide in your periods of contempations about your career paths, for some, maybe diplomacy will be just one amongst many options. In such times, it is handy to talk to someone, who will understand you and will be emphatic about your self-realisation. Others will step in contact with the guide as you will be preparing for the entrance test. I want to benefit those who just started with traineeship, those who are first timers when it comes to writing dispatches, those who are newcomers in foreign policy analysis or any other training. Others may encounter it way before the process of studying for the diplomatic exam.
These are all ways to step into the diplomatic career, but it is important to mention, that some starting methods are above other ones. They are all important. Every one of those are considered equally serious, with the exception of the introductory reflection about the decision for a diplomatic career. I dedicate particular attention to the process of thinking because the result of this consideration—the decision to pursue a diplomatic career—is far too important to be left to a technical discussion.
